Hi, I’m Kaiser

Kaiser is the largest puppy in this litter and the least interested in doing anything about it. He is a genuinely low-drive Rottweiler, which is rarer than people think and exactly right for some homes.

He greets people by leaning. He shares his bed with the cat. When the children got loud around him he sighed and moved eight inches to the left. Nothing about him is sharp.

That temperament comes from Ingrid, who is the calmest bitch we have ever run, and it is why we repeated this pairing. Kaiser will still be a hundred-pound dog who needs training and boundaries — an easy Rottweiler is not a dog that trains itself — but he makes the job much easier.

He would fit a family home with children, or a first-time Rottweiler owner who has done the reading and wants a forgiving place to start. He should not go somewhere expecting a protection prospect; that is not who he is.
